It’s often a space that people find boring and uninspired, but that doesn’t have to be the case for your office. Use this area as an extension of your brand, by making a more welcoming and comfortable space for all your business associates. Here are three simple ways you can make your waiting area better.  

Color and Light

The first way to make your waiting area better is with color choice. You can bring more energy and atmosphere into the space by choosing a more energetic and brighter color. While neutral colors do promote a calming atmosphere, they can make waiting rooms feel dull, which can promote a feeling of lethargy. Use brighter colors to enhance the mood of your clients, customers, patients, and other guests.   

Enhance Comfort

Hopefully your guests won’t have to wait long, but if their stay ends up being a little longer than expected, you want them to be as comfortable as possible while they’re in your office. Enhance the comfort and softness of the waiting area by adding throw pillows to your seating. Invest in high quality furniture that will help make the space feel more like a lounge area rather than just a room that you’re keeping people in until you’re ready to see them for their appointment. You can also extend that softness onto the floor with plush area rugs or carpet.    

Incorporate Workspace

While your guests are waiting for their appointment, give them more surface area to work on, allowing them to conduct personal business or keep themselves busy while they wait. Having more tables will also give them the opportunity to prepare for the meeting, especially if they are there for an interview or other business presentation.
