Wellness Rooms Help When Employees Are Sick

We’ve all randomly felt under the weather at work. If the illness is not debilitating, employees tend not to want to leave the office or use PTO. Still, sitting under bright lights or staring at a computer screen for a long time, doesn’t help a person get better. Wellness rooms are small, having enough capacity just to fit one person. You can book a wellness room in the same way that you would book a conference room.

How do you design a wellness room? Make sure that you add healthcare-grade seating and include a recliner so that employees can sit back and relax. Also, add decor and artwork that reflects tranquility and peace. Dim lighting is excellent because it won’t exacerbate headaches.

How to Add A Mothers Room into The Office

Breastfeeding moms face a tough challenge. The office isn’t private, and bathrooms are often unhygienic and cramped. Therefore, some moms have to go home during breaks to pump. One way to combat this struggle is to add a mothers room into the office. A mothers room should have the same design of a wellness room except that sinks should be there for pumping and bottle washing. Lockers would also add to convenience so that moms don’t have to transport their things back and forth. A mini fridge could be an option as well because mothers need a place to store their milk.

Meditation Room

Depending on the culture of your office, a meditation room may not be the best fit. If it is, it will allow your employees to let off steam. Add floor pillows and yoga mats to a room such as this. Adding a water feature enhances the ambiance and adds a calming effect.
